About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Planner - Hydrology Expert to join our team at Vattenfall. As a key member of our Analysis department, you will play a crucial role in connecting our operational and analytical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain our hydrological models and integrate them with our fundamental models to support decision-making in the power market.
  • Coordinate and drive the development of our hydro model for forecasting and operational production planning.
  • Improve our inflow forecast by incorporating internal meteorological forecasts and other relevant data.
  • Develop new model features to meet stakeholder requirements, such as improved snow modeling.
  • Optimize our model architecture to make efficient use of cloud infrastructure and improve code and data integration.
  • Provide hydrological and price forecasting analyses to enable profitable trading strategies.
Requirements
  • Strong interest and experience in Nordic hydrology and power markets, acquired through work experience or education.
  • Relevant university degree, such as Engineering, Hydrology, Mathematics, or similar.
  • High computer literacy, particularly in programming skills in Python.
  • Ability to facilitate cooperation with different stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish (both strictly required).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
