Vattenfall is a leading energy company in Europe, and we're seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Asset Planner. In this role, you'll play a critical part in maximizing our hydro, nuclear, and heat production on the Nordic power and ancillary service markets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and drive our hydro model development for forecasting and operational production planning.
- Integrate hydrological models with our fundamental models to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Enhance inflow forecasting by incorporating internal meteorological forecasts.
- Design and implement new model features to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Optimize model architecture for efficient use of cloud infrastructure and code/data integration.
- Provide hydrological and price forecasting analyses to support profitable trading strategies.
- Strong interest and experience in Nordic Hydrology and power markets.
- Relevant University degree in Engineering, Hydrology, Mathematics, or similar.
- High computer literacy, particularly in Python programming.
- Ability to facilitate cooperation with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Swedish (strictly required).
- Occasional travel.
