About the Role

Vattenfall is a leading energy company in Europe, and we're seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Asset Planner. In this role, you'll play a critical part in maximizing our hydro, nuclear, and heat production on the Nordic power and ancillary service markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive our hydro model development for forecasting and operational production planning.
  • Integrate hydrological models with our fundamental models to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Enhance inflow forecasting by incorporating internal meteorological forecasts.
  • Design and implement new model features to meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Optimize model architecture for efficient use of cloud infrastructure and code/data integration.
  • Provide hydrological and price forecasting analyses to support profitable trading strategies.
Requirements
  • Strong interest and experience in Nordic Hydrology and power markets.
  • Relevant University degree in Engineering, Hydrology, Mathematics, or similar.
  • High computer literacy, particularly in Python programming.
  • Ability to facilitate cooperation with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish (strictly required).
  • Occasional travel.
