As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art Customer Fulfillment Centers (CFCs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and in-depth maintenance on all Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) and third-party equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Carry out maintenance on production equipment in a safe, accurate, and timely manner, adhering to standard operating procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and performing repairs as necessary.
  • Update engineering records, including work carried out, root cause analysis, and spares and consumables used.
  • Ensure accurate and timely records are input into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support engineering KPIs.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze failures and identify solutions to improve Material Handling Equipment (MHE) performance.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, and Safety standards and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of 500s Bots maintenance (planned and reactive) and 500s LRU repair processes.
  • Basic technical understanding of OSP automation hardware and software.
  • A formal engineering-related qualification is advantageous.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively impart knowledge to others.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and conveyors is advantageous but not essential.
