We are seeking a highly skilled Category Sourcing Leader to join our team at IKEA Supply Services Sweden AB. As a Category Sourcing Leader, you will be responsible for securing the material and production knowledge as well as setting up the optimal sourcing conditions for our textile products.
Key Responsibilities- Secure Material and Production Knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our suppliers' capabilities and product development processes.
- Establish Optimal Sourcing Conditions: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish a global sourcing set-up that meets our business needs and ensures the quality of our products.
- Lead and Secure Sourcing: Lead the establishment of the global sourcing set-up for running range, new products, and services in line with our Category strategy and IKEA Best Buy Principles.
- Contribute to Product Development: Contribute to the product development process by providing material, technique, and production knowledge to ensure that our products meet our quality and sustainability standards.
- Manage Stakeholders: Engage with internal stakeholders, including Category Managers, Range Owners, and Suppliers, to ensure that our sourcing strategies are aligned with our business goals.
- Monitor and Mitigate Risks: Monitor and mitigate sourcing risks through scenario planning and stakeholder collaboration.
- Ensure Quality and Sustainability: Ensure that our sourcing practices meet our quality and sustainability standards, and that our products are designed and manufactured with the environment and our customers in mind.
- Strong Experience in Purchasing Development: Proven experience in purchasing development, including insights on supplier capabilities and product development background.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and project leadership experience, with the ability to lead and deliver results through involving and engaging people.
- Holistic View: A holistic view with the ability to think on both operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
- Deep Knowledge of Value Chain: Deep knowledge of the value chain and value chain analysis capabilities.
