Your Role and Responsibilities

As a (senior) R&D engineer for electronics hardware development, you will be part of an agile, dynamic workplace within a cross-functional team embedded in a global network of collaborating teams. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement analog and digital circuits from concept phase to serial production.
  2. Technical Documentation: Provide proper technical documentation to ensure successful handover to production engineering for industrialization.
  3. Quality Assurance: Check that all hardware complies with published product standards and performances.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product owner, product management, system architects, and software developers to breakdown market requirements to product requirements for hardware.
  5. Technology Monitoring: Monitor technology developments and product technologies to identify technical drivers for R&D projects, supported by your thorough understanding of key business drivers for our products and solutions.
  6. Knowledge Sharing: Participate in internal and external networks to expand your knowledge of your area of expertise.
  7. Project Management: Take responsibility for hardware development activities, as (senior) member, including risk identification, alignment with targets, and close coordination with suppliers and other functions.
  8. Intellectual Property: Contribute to discussions of intellectual property and secure patent rights for our company by driving the IP creation.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a comparable field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in the development of electronics within embedded systems as a hardware design engineer.
  3. Sound knowledge in designing electronic circuits, circuit diagrams, and working with simulation tools.
  4. Knowledge in EMC compatible design would be considered a plus.
  5. Willingness to travel internationally (
