Collaborative Mathematics or Mathematical Statistics Expert with a Senior Lecturer Role

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Chalmers tekniska högskola is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics or Mathematical Statistics with a strong focus on collaboration and leadership. Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the department's collaborative activities with schools, the public, and society in general.
- Contribute to high-quality teaching in undergraduate education, including mathematics or mathematical statistics courses.
- Supervise students at the bachelor and master levels, providing guidance and support to ensure their academic success.
- Participate in departmental activities through administrative tasks, contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Contribute to all departmental activities, including research and administrative tasks, to further develop the department's expertise and reputation.
- A doctoral degree in mathematics or mathematical statistics, or equivalent scientific competence.
- Documented teaching experience and skills in mathematics or mathematical statistics at university or college level.
- Good oral and written language skills in Swedish and English.
- A higher education teaching qualification of at least 15 credits or equivalent competence.
- Pedagogical merits and potential, including the ability to plan and teach courses in the subject area.
- Collaborative merits and leadership skills, including communication skills, the ability to establish long-term relationships, and a strategic vision to further develop collaborative activities.
- Scientific qualifications, including research documented through publications and post-doctoral research.
