About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Nouryon. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for leading a team of specialists responsible for completion of daily end-to-end road shipments activities for the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5 to 6 specialists in ensuring adherence to our processes and in alignment with cost and service targets.
  • Be responsible for the performance and operations of your team and committed to development and growth of your team members.
  • Build strong internal as well as external relationships with all our different stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of process improvement and cost improvement measures to drive operational efficiency, discipline and service.
  • Monitor KPIs and perform performance meetings with vendors.

Requirements

  • Good experience in logistics / supply chain from operational roles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in managing logistics or supply chain management activities for a functional team.
  • Experience identifying and executing process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing cost and / or improving service level.
  • Good understanding of the road transport market.
  • Strong working knowledge and history of using computers and systems specific to logistics (SAP, TMS, WMS) and to general business management (MS Excel, Word).
  • Experience with logistics providers, customs brokers, and government agency relationship management and performance evaluations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of international shipping requirements in the supported countries within the EMEA region.
  • Understanding of import and export activities.
