About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Art Manager to join our team at 10 Chambers, a leading game development studio. As an Art Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring our Art Leads to achieve their best work.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Art Department Leadership: Provide day-to-day assistance and mentorship to our Art Leads, including regular one-on-one meetings to address challenges and support their needs.
  2. Quality and Production Goals: Assist leads in achieving their team's quality and production goals, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated and the art teams are able to deliver.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate smooth communication between the different Art leads, supporting the development of our artists and helping to resolve any personnel or workflow challenges within the teams.
  4. Team Performance and Development: Monitor and report on team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to address them, while also managing the hiring and onboarding of new art team members.
  5. Strategic Planning: Support the Art Production Director in strategic planning for the art department, ensuring that team members and Leads have the resources and training they need to succeed.
Requirements
  1. At least 6 years of experience working as a 3D artist in the video games industry.
  2. At least 3 years of experience working in an art management or leadership role within the games industry.
  3. Strong ability to mentor and develop Art Leads and senior artists.
  4. Excellent knowledge of Maya / 3Ds / Blender or equivalent.
  5. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving and resource management.
  6. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate.
  7. Excellent command of English (Swedish is not a requirement).
