About the JobSveriges lantbruksuniversitet invites applications for an Associate Professor of Biochemistry position in the Department of Aquatic Sciences and Assessment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading research projects in biochemistry, microbiology, and limnic systems.
The position is part of a multidisciplinary and interactive environment with access to state-of-the-art infrastructure, including equipment for microscopy, metabolomics and molecular biology, and access to additional research infrastructure through SciLifeLab.
We collaborate with other departments at SLU, as well as nationally and internationally with several strong research centers, contributing new socially relevant knowledge about how aquatic ecosystems change and what causes these changes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead research projects in biochemistry, microbiology, and limnic systems.
- Teach primarily in microbial ecology, bioinformatics, and molecular biological analyses, as well as in other areas at all educational levels.
- Supervise doctoral students and participate in interdisciplinary activities.
- Collaborate with other SLU research teams to strengthen interdisciplinary activities and develop national and international networks with academia, public authorities, industry, organizations, and society.
- Apply for external research funding and contribute to the strategic development of the department, faculty, and university.
The applicant must have a PhD degree in a relevant field and demonstrate research expertise in the subject area.
