Ubisoft Entertainment is a world-renowned AAA game development studio that has been pushing the boundaries of creativity and technology for years.

We're currently leading projects such as Tom Clancy's The Division 3, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Star Wars Outlaws, and Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

We're also at the forefront of tech innovation, developing our proprietary Snowdrop engine, which powers many of Ubisoft's flagship titles, and contributing to Ubisoft Connect, Ubisoft's digital ecosystem and distribution platform.

Job Overview:

  • This is a permanent position in Malmö or Stockholm, Sweden, with the flexibility to work partially from home (up to two days a week) under our Flexible Workplace Policy.
  • You will work closely with your team and other technical directors to ensure the technology we use is evolving in a direction that benefits our game developers and project.
  • A key part of this role is to establish coding standards, maintain efficient coding practices, and assess the technical setup and infrastructure needs to deliver the gameplay part of the full vision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other Ubisoft studios and external partners to share knowledge and identify existing technology that we should adopt, adapt, and develop as needed.
  • Anticipate technological advancements and stay up to date on market trends to define our best practices.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team.
  • Ensure seamless communication between teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Experience in at least one full AAA videogame production, in a supervising role (Director, Lead).
  • Professional experience in supervising/directing a team.
  • Capacity to clearly articulate and communicate a vision and strategy.
  • Extensive experience developing, debugging, and optimizing tools and technology for AAA game engines & infrastructure or interactive real-time simulations.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming language.
  • Able to find the best-fit solution to complex problems, finding compromises for stakeholders with differing needs.
