About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at SS&C Technologies Holdings as a Business Consultant.

In this role, you will work closely with our clients to optimize their business workflows by implementing and advising on technology solutions to streamline their processes, increase efficiency, and reduce operational risk.

As a Business Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality business and technical consulting services as part of implementation projects. You will work with clients to understand their business needs and requirements, and then design and implement new or enhanced business workflows using our technology stack.

Key responsibilities include delivering bespoke user training on our systems and business processes, understanding the technology and integration landscape of clients, and evaluating and recommending enhancements. You will also configure our systems according to agreed specifications and client requirements, following industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver business and technical consulting services of high quality as part of implementation projects.
  • Work with clients to understand their business needs and requirements.
  • Design and implement new or enhanced business workflows using our technology stack.
  • Deliver bespoke user training on our systems and business processes.
  • Understand the technology and integration landscape of clients.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to our systems.
  • Configure our systems according to agreed specifications and client requirements.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and ensure that the correct expectations are set throughout the entire project.

Requirements

  • Good business knowledge of the investment management industry.
  • Relevant work experience in consulting, asset management, or financial software.
  • Strong IT/technical skills, including MS Windows, MS SQL, MS IIS, integration tools, reporting tools, scheduling, networks, and databases.
  • Understanding and experience of financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, funds, derivatives, and private equity.
  • Postgraduate degree.
  • Prior knowledge of our systems is a strong plus, but not a requirement.
  • A positive client-, team-, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an appetite for knowledge and eager to learn.
  • Effective and efficient researcher.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set, organize, and meet priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to travel to different regions if required.
