About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integration Manager to join our team at Abbott Laboratories. As a Data Integration Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, contracting, and successful implementations of our healthcare software integrations into Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business needs from multiple stakeholders in terms of data integration, translate these needs into technical requirements that meet the capabilities of our interfaces.
- Manage key aspects of assigned projects over the project lifespan (initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closure), ensuring successful customer acceptance and closure of each project.
- Travel to customer sites within the Nordics region to conduct project kick-off, planning, technical requirement gathering, project closure meetings, post-project support, as necessary.
- Closely work and partner with external customers, EMEA, Global Strategic Marketing, Global Business Development, and Global R&D on feasibility and technical implementation of data integration projects.
- Provide management oversight for each project and communicate the project schedule to internal stakeholders and customer project teams. Track and report project milestones.
- Act as a point of contact on EMR integration in the Nordics for internal stakeholders.
- Develop and provide strategic planning and commercial input to the development of the data integration solutions, understanding the key market drivers, priorities, and growth opportunities.
- Maintain expert knowledge of cloud-based APIs, JSON and HL7 data formats, OAuth2.0 authentication format as well as any other healthcare and general IT security standards.
- Negotiate and align technical and contractual requirements for data integration projects with customers in the Nordics.
- Lead and own the planning, scheduling, and coordinating the efforts of our data integration projects to meet customer requirements and timelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience and track record in negotiating and aligning technical requirements for cloud-based data integration projects.
- Experience in data sharing and EMR integration of cloud-based health data, e.g., via API using JSON and HL7 data formats as well as OAuth 2.0 authentication.
- At least 7 years of previous relevant experience, preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in one programming language and knowledge of databases.
- Proficiency in software development practices such as software project management, requirements management, and change management.
- Experience in working in matrix organizations.
- Knowledge in Healthcare or MedTech or Pharma, ideally the Diabetes sector.
- Nice to have experience in AI to help in advancing our digital health solution in leveraging the potentials of AI.
- Innovative thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to build trustworthy relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
- Excellent ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, tailoring communication and presentations to a diverse audience.
- Capability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment to deliver on communicated timelines and objectives.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English and in one of the Nordics languages.
- Understanding of the adherence to internal security requirements and applicable Data Protection legislation.
- Ability to travel up to 50% (mostly within the Nordics region).
