Substation Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Automation Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB. As a key member of our Business Unit Grid Integration, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our grid solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Application Development: Develop and engineer applications for Substation Automation Systems, including Gateways, HMI, and Communication.
- Collaboration and IED-Engineering: Cooperate with our team to establish data exchange between bay-level and station-level, ensuring seamless integration of our solutions.
- NCC Interface Engineering: Engineer and test NCC interfaces, prepare test protocols for SA-systems, and ensure successful implementation of our new solution in customer projects.
- Delivery Support: Provide assistance to our delivery organization to ensure successful implementation of our solutions in customer projects.
- Tender Support: Support our tender organization in identifying new opportunities and developing winning proposals.
- Station Interface Management: Work with our station interface, both locally and remotely, to ensure smooth operation of our systems.
- Training and Support: Train and support our organization in applying new HMI and SCADA solutions in our delivery projects.
- System Integration and Testing: Perform HMI and SCADA verification of our control systems, executed in test rooms and on-site.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Substation Automation Engineer with a strong background in electrical control systems, SCADA/DCS systems, and IEC61850 domain. You should have significant experience in energy/utility substation design, grid automation P&C, and SAS products, with a deep understanding of IEC standards and protocols.
As a successful candidate, you will have a university degree in a relevant technical area, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in substation automation systems. You should be proficient in English, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience in IEC61850, HMI, event and database handling, communication protocols, and Ethernet topologies is highly advantageous.
