Substation Automation Engineer, Project Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Automation Engineer to join our Project Engineering team at HITACHI ENERGY SWEDEN AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and engineering applications for Substation Automation Systems with Gateways, HMI, and Communication.
Key Responsibilities- Application Development: Design, develop, and test applications for Substation Automation Systems, ensuring seamless integration with Gateways, HMI, and Communication systems.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with our team to establish data exchange between bay-level and station-level, ensuring efficient communication and data transfer.
- NCC Interface Engineering: Engineer and test NCC interfaces, preparing test protocols for SA-systems to ensure smooth system operation.
- Delivery Support: Provide assistance to our delivery organization to successfully implement our new solution towards customer projects.
- Tender Support: Support the tender organization for new opportunities, ensuring our solutions meet customer requirements.
- Station Interface Management: Work with our station interface, both locally and remotely, to ensure efficient system operation.
- Training and Support: Train and support the organization in applying a new HMI and SCADA solution in our delivery projects.
- System Integration and Testing: Perform HMI and SCADA verification of our control systems, executed in test rooms and on-site.
We are looking for a driven problem solver who eagerly takes initiatives and always delivers on time and according to expectations. You should have a university degree within a relevant technical area, along with competence and experience within the IEC61850 domain. Significant experience in Energy/Utility substation design, Grid Automation P& C and SAS products deep knowledge, and background in Electrical Control Systems and SCADA/DCS systems are essential.
You should be proficient in English, as you will be part of an international setting where you will get to exchange knowledge with people from all over the world. Experience within any of these fields are advantageous: IEC61850, HMI (Micro SCADA), event and database handling, communication protocols.
