Position Overview
As a member of the Grid Integration Business Unit, you will contribute to innovative solutions in the field of Substation Automation. Our Grid and Power Quality Solutions (G&PQS) technologies are designed to enhance power distribution and control in both existing and new networks while maintaining a commitment to environmental sustainability. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and engineering applications for Substation Automation Systems, including Gateways, HMI, and Communication protocols.
- Collaborating with our IED-engineering team to facilitate data exchange between bay-level and station-level systems.
- Engineering and validating NCC interfaces, including the preparation of test protocols for Substation Automation systems.
- Providing support to our delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of new solutions in customer projects, as well as assisting the tender team with new opportunities.
- Engaging with our station interface, both on-site and remotely.
- Training and supporting the organization in the application of new HMI and SCADA solutions within our delivery projects.
- Conducting detailed design, system integration, and test-driven development.
- Performing verification of HMI and SCADA systems for our control solutions, both in testing environments and on-site.

Required Qualifications
- A university degree in a relevant technical field, along with expertise and experience in the IEC61850 domain.
- Extensive experience in the design of Energy/Utility substations.
- In-depth knowledge of Grid Automation Protection & Control (P&C) and Substation Automation Systems (SAS) products.
- A background in Electrical Control Systems and SCADA/DCS systems.
- Familiarity with standards, particularly IEC61850.
- Competence in substation automation engineering for station control systems based on Micro SCADA, including IEC standards, MODBUS, and OPC DA/UA.
- Strong understanding of Ethernet topologies and various redundancy strategies.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with Substation Automation Systems.
- Experience in areas such as IEC61850, HMI (Micro SCADA), event and database management, and communication protocols is advantageous.
- A proactive problem solver who takes initiative and consistently meets deadlines and expectations.
- Proficiency in English, as you will be part of an international team exchanging knowledge with colleagues globally.
Your foundation includes a university degree in a relevant technical area and expertise in SAS design. Experience or a strong interest in control systems or OT network configuration and operator interface design is essential, while an understanding of electric power systems is a plus.
