We are seeking a seasoned leader to head our Portfolio Management & Strategic Projects team. As Head of Portfolio Management & Strategic Projects, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a common portfolio management process and plan that supports Service Lines & Operations in achieving their goals and objectives.

About this opportunity

Our team plays a crucial role in delivering improved customer experience and operational efficiency enabled by an end-to-end view of the bank's services and processes. As a key member of our Operations team, you will oversee all Operations projects and initiatives as a unified portfolio to achieve strategic organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage a common portfolio management process and plan that successfully supports Service Lines & Operations in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Balance the implementation of change initiatives in Operations with the potential return on investment.
  • Define and set the standards of how projects and initiatives are managed in Operations.
  • Oversee all Operations projects and initiatives as a unified portfolio to achieve strategic organizational goals.
  • Build and run the capability and tools that will enable your colleagues in our delivery units to select, prioritize, optimize, and govern multiple projects and initiatives across Operations, connected to agreed ways of working and demonstrating clear value back to business.
  • Project portfolio reporting that enables data-driven decision making by Service Line leadership teams and Operations Executive Leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret a wide range of information to form recommendations.
  • Self-driven and strong communicator who can also produce superior presentations and communication material for executive audiences.
  • Deep interest in financial services and good understanding of banking terminology and concepts.
  • True team player with great stakeholder management and interpersonal skills and solid organizational savviness enabling you to interact and navigate effectively at all levels and across different business areas to bridge diverse perspectives and formulate an opinion.
  • Understanding of importance of data to foster a data-driven culture and mind-set.
  • Good experience in successfully delivering across a complex, matrix environment with multiple stakeholders.
