We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Developer Tools Enablement team at H&M Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing staff, overseeing managed services, and collaborating with sourcing partners. The main focus of this role is to drive the adoption and optimization of developer tools, including Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, Docker Desktop, and other relevant tools, in line with our technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers focused on developer tools enablement, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Managed Service Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our managed service for developer tools, ensuring seamless delivery and high-quality results.
- Sourcing Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with a sourcing partner to ensure effective tool and service delivery, aligning with our business objectives.
- Tool Implementation and Integration: Drive the implementation and integration of developer tools, ensuring they meet our business needs and are used efficiently.
- Best Practices Development: Develop and maintain best practices for tool usage, ensuring security, efficiency, and scalability.
- Development Team Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance their workflows, improving overall productivity.
- Tool Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize tool performance, addressing any issues or bottlenecks promptly to ensure smooth operations.
- Industry Trends and Tools: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools to continually improve our developer enablement strategies, ensuring we remain competitive.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with company policies and standards, maintaining a high level of governance and risk management.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role, preferably in a developer tools or DevOps environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, Docker Desktop, and other relevant developer tools.
- Team Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
- Managed Service Experience: Experience in running managed services and collaborating with sourcing partners, ensuring effective tool and service delivery.
- Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Software Development Lifecycles: Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.
