About the Role

Vattenfall is seeking a highly skilled Privacy Legal Counsel to join our team in Solna, Stockholm. As a key member of our Group Data Protection Office, you will play a crucial role in shaping our company's data protection strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support on data protection-related matters, including the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and educate the organization on data protection best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Group Data Protection Office and other data protection officers to maintain and improve our existing frameworks and processes.
  • Update legal templates, identify data protection risks, and work on follow-up and related actions.
  • Handle incidents and conduct audits and controls.
  • Work proactively to educate the organization on data protection matters.
  • Collaborate with the company's data protection coordinators across various business areas to identify risks and implement measures, build awareness, and increase maturity within the company.
  • Collaborate with other parts of the organization, such as IT and security departments.
Requirements
  • Law degree from a university
  • 5-7 years of experience working with data protection matters and in-depth knowledge of GDPR
  • It is an advantage if you have experience from other areas such as IT, AI, contract law, information security, project management, and process development
  • Ability to communicate in both Swedish and English
