About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Policy Officer/Policy Advisor at our Gothenburg European Office in Brussels. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in representing the interests of Göteborgs Stad at the European level and contributing to the development of the city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze EU policy developments and their impact on Göteborgs Stad's interests
  • Develop and implement effective policy strategies to promote Göteborgs Stad's interests at the EU level
  • Build and maintain relationships with EU institutions, other European cities, and key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of Göteborgs Stad's EU policy agenda and provide expert advice to senior officials
  • Represent Göteborgs Stad at EU events and meetings
  • Collaborate with other teams within Göteborgs Stad to ensure effective implementation of EU policies

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. EU studies, international relations, politics)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in EU policy or international affairs
  • Excellent knowledge of EU policies and institutions
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
