Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden TN Sweden Full time

At TN Sweden, we are a global leader in the rail industry. Our company understands transport networks and what moves people.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team in Stockholm. As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for providing sharp guidance and leadership to drive proactive contract and claim management, as well as risk mitigation strategies aligned with our business objectives.

You will work closely with teams across the business, including Project Team members, Customers, Partners, Suppliers (following Project Manager directives) and Members of the Project Core Team. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring seamless project execution.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Apply the Contract, Claims, and Insurance Management Manual and adhere to our governance.
  • Craft and communicate a comprehensive Contract Summary, regularly updating and disseminating it.
  • Collaborate with the Core Project Team to prepare a robust Contract Management Strategy Plan.
  • Host the Contract Management Day with the Core Project Team for strategic alignment.
  • Analyse contracts meticulously, building and implementing the Contract and Claim Management Strategy Plan, with regular updates to the project team.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring contractual milestones are met and issuing timely contractual notices.
  • Establish and implement project-specific commercial procedures, particularly in correspondence, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders, and claims preparation files.
  • Monitor and manage insurance policies, collaborating with the Regional Insurance Manager for validity and updates.
  • Develop a pragmatic commercial approach based on contractual analysis to protect our interests daily.
  • Record, notify, and manage claims or counterclaims, preparing all necessary documentation for negotiations.
  • Monitor customer and partner requests for variations, change orders, or extensions of time.
  • Provide proactive advice on issues, risks, contractual or claims activities, considering contract and business objectives.
  • Deliver training on contract or claim management to key project stakeholders.
  • Anticipate events and risks associated with contract management, proposing alternative solutions to maintain control.

About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Hold a degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics, or Business Sciences.
  • Bring Contract and Claim Management experience (min. 5 years) combined with Project Management expertise.
  • Possess good knowledge of Contract Management systems.
  • Project Management software, Excel Spreadsheet software, and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
  • Excel in working transversally and collaboratively with a strong spirit of teamwork.
  • Demonstrate the willingness and ability to be creative, bringing forward new ideas and innovations.
  • Communicate with precision and transparency.
  • Be ready for occasional travel.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish is a must.

What We Offer

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.
  • Contribute to innovative projects.
  • Utilise our flexible working environment.
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning.
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage.
