Role Overview:

As an Insurance Underwriting Coordinator, you will operate within a dynamic and international environment in our Commercial Lines division across EMEA. Your primary responsibility will be to support underwriting teams by delivering exceptional customer service, managing operational functions, and coordinating with various teams, enabling underwriters to concentrate on production and underwriting tasks.

The Insurance Underwriting Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the complete lifecycle of producing and issuing insurance policies for our clients, along with resolving any related issues. You will collaborate with underwriters to develop accurate and practical instructions for support teams to process information, while also handling some processing tasks yourself. This includes onboarding new business clients, renewing existing policies, or implementing changes requested by clients during their insurance term. All tasks should be approached with a customer-centric mindset, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Chubb's service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of domestic and multinational accounts, performing account administration and implementing multinational program tasks. Support underwriters by providing underwriting, regulatory, and compliance information, as well as preparing instructions for processing new business, renewals, endorsements, invoices, and documentation, all within specified timeframes and quality standards.
  • Act as a key contact for internal colleagues, collaborating closely with segment leaders, line managers, underwriters, and service centers to meet client service standards and resolve any issues affecting customers.
  • Serve as a primary contact for broker administration inquiries regarding local market practices, our service offerings, and regulatory/tax queries, while also assisting in the timely resolution of credit control issues.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving line operations, serving as a process expert, tester, or advisor on identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience and undertake ad hoc tasks relevant to your role.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in servicing multinational insurance programs or managing master policies, including understanding premium allocation and policy issuance.
  • Working knowledge of at least two lines of business within the insurance sector.
  • Experience in client-facing roles within the insurance industry, including conducting client meetings and presentations.
  • Familiarity with underwriting and reinsurance processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications:

  • Insurance Certification.
  • University Degree.

Language Proficiency:

  • Local Language.
  • Fluent English.
  • Knowledge of a foreign language is an advantage.
