Role Objective:

Chubb is in a phase of expansion, and we are seeking a dedicated Natural Resources Underwriter to enhance our team in the Nordics. This position will concentrate on the Natural Resources sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting the underwriting of Contractors All Risks and Power Generation risks related to Natural Resources. Building and nurturing relationships with our Nordic broker community will be crucial for writing new business, which is key to the success of this role, alongside expanding the existing portfolio in alignment with our growth targets, pricing strategies, and retention goals.

Your contributions will significantly impact and enhance our market position by:

  • Cultivating and sustaining strong relationships with brokers.
  • Showcasing our capabilities and developing a profitable Natural Resources portfolio.
  • Demonstrating a strong commercial acumen, always seeking new opportunities while valuing service and quality.
  • Ensuring quality assurance through underwriting and peer reviews.
  • Representing and advocating for Chubb to brokers and clients.
  • Delivering exceptional service to brokers and clients, addressing cross-sell and new business opportunities while monitoring retention.
  • Achieving the portfolio product line objectives for each underwriting cycle.
  • Assisting in underwriting CAR/EAR and B&M lines of business to attain underwriting profitability.

Required Qualifications:

  • A solid understanding of and experience in underwriting processes, preferably within construction, power generation, or property underwriting, along with knowledge of the insurance market and competitors.
  • A degree in Engineering or a technical background with an interest in emerging technologies.
  • A strong commercial orientation and a highly customer-focused approach.
  • Experience in client servicing, ideally within the insurance sector.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Results-oriented, disciplined, and ambitious, with the capability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in Swedish (or another Nordic language) and proficient in English, both written and spoken.
