Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Lead Technical Director - Rail Vehicle Upgrade to join our Engineering Management team in Västerås. As a key member of our organization, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for upgrading rail vehicles, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities- Lead the development of technical bids and proposals for rail vehicle upgrade projects.
- Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers to drive business growth and revenue.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improve our offerings.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A university degree in a technical engineering field.
- Significant experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the rail or transportation industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
- Fluency in English and Swedish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
