Job Description

The Chief Enterprise Project Strategist leads the implementation of Unit4 software solutions into customer environments, ensuring successful delivery of project engagements. This involves orchestrating projects to achieve agreed-upon goals within budget, meeting customer requirements, and exceeding expectations.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the project plan and deliverables align with the scope outlined in the SOWs;
  • Collaborating with assigned project team members to create a project plan and WBS consistent with Unit4's best practices;
  • Leading and managing project team members while applying Unit4 and professional best practices;
  • Maintaining out-of-scope requests and working with the customer and Unit4 account team to scope and cost additional opportunities;
  • Ensuring work is not performed outside of contracted scope without appropriate change order documentation accepted by the client;
  • Maintaining a weekly project schedule that identifies and updates all project risks, issues, tasks, and dependencies. Tracking progress against the project initiation document and SOW baseline;
  • Collaborating with Unit4 resource management to appropriately staff each project;
  • Maintaining accurate weekly revenue and cost forecasts for each project;
  • Interacting with project staff, customers, and other Unit4 teams as necessary to communicate project status and escalate risks and issues timely;
  • Ensuring accurate and timely communication of project status to relevant stakeholders, including Unit4 PMO and customer account teams;
  • Maintaining and archiving all key project documents into appropriate systems;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in IT Project Management;
  • Sharing experience-based knowledge and resources directly with peers and across Unit4;
  • Adhering to all company policies, including time and expenses, code of conduct, ethics, security, and required training;
  • Identifying customer knowledge gaps and opportunities for Unit4 product or service expansion and enhancement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A senior professional accountable for successful delivery of Unit4 strategic customer engagements. The ideal candidate is able to multitask, manage cross-functional teams, and deliver scoped outcomes across multiple projects. They should possess advanced communication skills, be able to influence at senior levels, and demonstrate sound judgment.

The qualifications include:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
  • At least 6 years of related professional project management experience;
  • Evidence of proven team leadership over large-scale technical engagements (6+ team members, multiple product suites);
  • International experience preferred;
  • Highly driven with excellent communication skills, able to influence at senior levels within Unit4 and with customers;
  • Demonstrates the ability to apply sound judgment to any situation and achieve desired outcomes;
  • Demonstrates product proficiency through Unit4 professional certifications;
  • Able to form and manage cross-functional teams and apply leadership skills;
  • Evidence of successful relationship building within Unit4 teams;
  • Able to multitask and perform well under pressure;
  • Prince2 Practitioner or PMP certified.
