About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Intelligence Analyst to join our Financial Crime Investigation, Intelligence & Analytics (FCIIA) team at Nordea Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage your programming and scientific knowledge to process big data and support building FCIIA's defense against Financial Crime.
- Execute and lead multi-jurisdictional complex investigations and identify threat networks and their impact on the bank and industry.
- Apply econometrics to develop statistical methods and models to enhance the assessment of risk and highlight concerns, threats, and potential scale.
- Drive and support coordination exercises with other risk functions to mitigate financial crime risks.
- Support various development initiatives to enhance threat detection and present updates for senior management.
- Integrate and visualize existing models in tools such as Qlik.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a working knowledge of AML/sanctions functions that consume business data to identify financial crime concerns. You should be able to drill down and understand key data elements, where and how they are used within AML using analytic tools.
Requirements
- A strong research and investigation background with high proficiency in English.
- Ability to analyze, prepare, present, and interpret reporting or research results with all levels of management in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to make business recommendations and present findings at various levels of stakeholders.
- Design or provide support for the implementation of strategic intelligence development tool sets through business system testing, UAT, and post-implementation approaches.
- Ensure appropriate governance over intelligence development processes and maintenance of audit trails over detection and remediation exercises.
- Train peer analysts on qualitative and quantitative structured analytic techniques and tools used to create intelligence deliverables and assessments.
Nice to Have
- Strong analytic background with the ability to combine quantitative analysis with AML/CTF. Specialist knowledge of SQL, Qlik, R, Matlab, Python, and/or other analytical tools.
- ICA or ACAMs certification.
- Experience in handling and working with large data sets.
Location
The role is based in Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, or Warsaw.
