We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist to facilitate value-driven decision-making within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be an integral part of the E-Mobility Business Unit, with the flexibility to work remotely. Travel may be required periodically.

Vattenfall E-Mobility is responsible for procuring electricity for the charge points we manage. Our sourcing strategy involves collaboration with internal suppliers and maintaining distinct contracts across various regions. As a Specialist in Energy Sourcing for E-Mobility, your primary focus will be on developing and sustaining our electricity procurement agreements, which includes negotiating terms and executing contracts effectively.

Additionally, you will oversee our renewable energy unit positions (HBE / THG). By utilizing renewable energy for electric vehicle charging, we generate renewable energy units that hold commercial value, necessitating optimization through both internal and external avenues.

You will collaborate closely with our forecasting and pricing analysts to manage imbalances and exposure within the Business Unit's financials. Aligning our procurement portfolio with smart charging and dynamic pricing is essential, requiring a seamless interface between accurate forecasting and position management to maximize asset value.

You will report directly to the Director of Value Management & Governance .

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist E-Mobility who is passionate about making a significant impact in the electric vehicle sector. A strong interest in sustainability and a willingness to learn are essential.

Your extensive experience, coupled with robust commercial and analytical capabilities, will enable you to devise innovative strategies that address market challenges effectively. You should possess the ability to translate concepts into actionable proposals.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Formulating procurement and hedging strategies
  • Leading negotiations with internal energy suppliers
  • Executing contracts efficiently
  • Maximizing value from sourcing positions and assets
  • Guiding Vattenfall E-Mobility towards smart charging and dynamic pricing

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • 2-8 years of relevant experience, ideally in a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management and/or trading in Nordic, Dutch, and German markets, ideally with an energy exchange trading license.
  • Strong grasp of market fundamentals, particularly in spot and balancing markets.
  • Excellent proficiency in English communication.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • A collaborative team player with independent thinking capabilities.
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and adept at managing multiple tasks.
  • Ambitious and eager to expand knowledge in the electric vehicle industry.
