About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Leader to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading the procurement process for various commodities, including Finance & Tax, Sourcing & Supply Chain, Strategy, CSR, EHS, IP, and Innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commodity strategies to ensure savings, panel compliance, and supplier excellence.
  • Actively participate in commodity strategy and panel elaboration, and support the Indirect Procurement network worldwide.
  • Manage operational needs for global and HQ requests, including full call for tender processes and negotiations with suppliers.
  • Manage global panel providers, including business reviews and the setup of global framework agreements.
  • Be responsible for commodity QCDT and supplier performance management, and provide regular reporting on supplier performance reviews and process compliance.
Requirements
  • Business School or University Master's degree with specialization in Purchasing.
  • Minimum of three years of significant experience in purchasing, ideally in indirect procurement.
  • Some market knowledge of the commodity or similar commodities (intellectual services).
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and understand legal clauses and their implications.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, communication, and the ability to convince and work with top management.
  • Indirect procurement mindset and team spirit in a multicultural environment.
  • Pragmatic and result-oriented.
