Procurement Specialist with a Passion for Sustainability

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist with a strong commitment to sustainability to join our team at Handelshögskolan i Stockholm. This role is a newly established position, and you will play a key role in its development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate procurement processes to ensure optimal terms and prices.
  • Analyze purchasing patterns and propose improvement measures to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
  • Manage independent procurement processes and provide support to other departments with their procurement needs.
  • Integrate sustainability into all aspects of the procurement process, aligning with the school's sustainability strategy.
  • Implement and oversee sustainability actions aligned with SSE's Sustainability Strategy.
  • Monitor and assess departments' ongoing sustainability efforts, developing relevant metrics and benchmarks.
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of comprehensive Sustainability Policies.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in procurement and sustainability initiatives.
  • Lead and execute sustainability projects to drive positive change and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Relevant higher education in business administration, procurement, or equivalent field.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement with strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep passion for sustainability and integrating sustainability principles into procurement practices.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Desirable Qualities:
  • Curiosity about how AI and digital methods can optimize work processes.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and structure projects effectively.
About the Role:

This is a permanent position located in the heart of Stockholm, offering a unique opportunity to lead sustainable procurement initiatives. Please note that this position includes a six-month probationary period. We conduct background checks on final candidates for this position.
