About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical UI Design Lead to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the development of user interface (UI) design for our next-generation game, Battlefield.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Technical UI Designers in the creation of high-quality, engaging, and accessible UI designs that meet the needs of our players.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, tech leads, and game developers, to ensure that UI designs align with the game's art direction, gameplay goals, and technical standards.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive UI component library in our game engine to ensure consistency across the product.
- Conduct technical and design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and communicate technical constraints to the team.
- Identify and communicate dependencies, risks, and improvements, and serve as a subject matter expert on UI design and development.
- Develop and maintain a sustainable testing and automation strategy to ensure high-quality UI designs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional game development experience, with a strong focus on UI design and implementation.
- Experience leading a team of designers and developers in the creation of high-quality UI designs.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of UI/UX design principles, typography, layout, motion, visual fidelity, input handling, localization, data binding, prototyping, and debugging.
- Passion for games, accessibility, and developing inclusive player experiences.
