About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Manager to join our team at SSAB. As a key member of our Transformation Office, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of all construction management activities and deliverables for our major projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the construction management team to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets to meet project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project progress.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the project team, including site supervision, engineering, and procurement.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with construction activities, ensuring that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve construction efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with SSAB's policies, procedures, and standards.
About You
  • Proven track record of success in construction management, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
