About the Role

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal guidance on data protection and privacy issues
  • Support strategic initiatives involving data protection and privacy
  • Offer tailored advice to internal stakeholders on data protection and privacy risks and mitigation
  • Assist in designing and improving internal data protection and privacy operations and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and manage data protection and privacy risks
  • Manage external counsel as necessary
  • Conduct data protection and privacy workshops and training for employees
  • Align with other legal functions within the SEB Group
What We're Looking For:
  • A Swedish LL.M. degree or equivalent European qualification, with at least five years of experience in in-house legal counsel or a reputable law firm, with substantial experience in data protection and privacy
  • Comprehensive GDPR knowledge, perspective, and understanding to ensure compliance and data protection
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
  • A strong commercial understanding and ability to contribute to business impact
  • A high level of integrity and confidence in your competence and value
  • An ability to work independently or as part of a team to find legally viable solutions
  • A positive and engaged team player who is not afraid to deliver and dig in where necessary
