Underwriter Accident & Health Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Accident & Health team in Stockholm, Sweden. As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in evaluating risk and underwriting A&H products, working closely with senior underwriters and other teams to deliver underwriting solutions that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior underwriters in evaluating risk and underwriting A&H products.
  • Manage a small portfolio of clients, focusing on renewals and new business under supervision.
  • Take ownership of underwriting challenges, resolving them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with brokers and clients to ensure clear communication of underwriting decisions.
  • Participate in training to grow your technical knowledge of A&H insurance and underwriting principles.
Requirements:
  • At least a few years of experience in insurance, preferably with exposure to Accident & Health or similar products.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment, taking direction from senior underwriters.
  • Proactive in resolving client and underwriting challenges professionally.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain underwriting decisions clearly.
  • Fluency in Swedish, and professional proficiency in English.
