About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Property Risk Specialist to join our team in Stockholm, Sweden. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead our property account engineering efforts and work closely with our underwriting team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing property loss prevention reviews of commercial property accounts to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement;
  • Documenting review results in a data-driven application to provide actionable insights to stakeholders;
  • Conducting periodic client service meetings with underwriting, broker, and client teams to discuss risk management strategies and progress towards objectives;
  • Analyzing and managing risk improvements of an account, working collaboratively with clients to prioritize and implement initiatives;
  • Translating client needs and loss prevention strategies into effective client service plans that drive business growth and mitigate risk;
  • Estimating the cost of engineering services to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation;
  • Conducting quality reviews of completed account reviews and field survey reports to maintain high standards of quality and consistency;
  • Performing property loss prevention surveys at key facilities of clients to identify potential hazards and develop targeted mitigation strategies;
  • Determining building construction and assessing the impact of plastics in construction on risk profiles;
  • Analyzing water supplies and sprinkler system demands to determine water supply and sprinkler system adequacy;
  • Identifying occupancy hazards and assessing the adequacy of their protection features;
  • Identifying and assessing the impact of external exposures on facilities, including fire and natural catastrophe risks;
  • Determining fire and natural catastrophe loss estimates for facilities to inform underwriting decisions and risk management strategies;
  • Conducting consultative visits at customer facilities and reviewing facility designs to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field, preferably with a few years of experience in property risk engineering or account engineering;
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients, underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders;
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, with additional Nordic language skills a plus;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex risk issues;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve business objectives;
  • Familiarity with data-driven applications and software tools to support risk management and underwriting processes;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate risk management strategies and progress to stakeholders.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development and growth.
