Kvarngärdesskolan - Uppsala International School

We are looking for a teacher of Science and Maths to be part of our teachers' team for years 4-6. You will be teaching in both Swedish and English depending on class and subject. Does this opportunity sound interesting to you? If so, please read on and apply for the position.

Kvarngärdesskolan - Uppsala International School is a public school for years F-9. From August 2025, the school is located in brand new buildings at Kvarngärdet near Uppsala main train station.

Ditt uppdrag
Som lärare i denna tjänst undervisar du i ämnena kemi, fysik, biologi, teknik och matematik för årskurs 4-6. Du undervisar dessa ämnen på både svenska och engelska. Du får möjligheten att göra skillnad för våra elever genom att bidra med din kompetens, kunnande och ditt engagemang för att med eleven i centrum verka för att vår undervisning utvecklas. Du planerar, genomför, utvärderar och utvecklar det pedagogiska arbetet enligt läroplan och övriga styrdokument.

Vi strävar efter ett kollegialt lärande där du i nära samarbete med dina kollegor utvecklar verksamheten. Tillsammans arbetar ni för att alla elever ska trivas och utvecklas utifrån sina individuella förutsättningar. I och med en flytt till nya lokaler så har du stor möjlighet att vara med och forma undervisningen och utvecklingen av skolan.

Din bakgrund
Vi söker dig som har engelska som modersmål (eller på samma nivå av annan anledning) och svensk lärarlegitimation alternativt inväntar legitimation med behörighet att undervisa i kemi, fysik, biologi, teknik och matematik för årskurs 4-6. Vi ser gärna att du har erfarenhet av arbete med språkutvecklande arbetssätt. För att lyckas i arbetet behöver du ha god kännedom om skolans styrdokument samt grundskolans läroplan.

Som person är du pedagogisk och har förståelse för människors olika förutsättningar att ta till sig kunskap. Du tar initiativ och sätter igång aktiviteter för att uppnå resultat. Vidare är du bra på att skapa, underhålla och utveckla arbetsmässiga relationer. Jobbet passar dig som tar ansvar och driver ditt arbete framåt. Sist men inte minst är du lugn och samlad i olika situationer och har förmågan att fokusera på utveckling av din undervisning så att den passar alla elever.
