Tax Accountant

Your New Role We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant for a 6-month consulting assignment with potential extension. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax and VAT returns across several countries. You will also handle tax-related reporting, support month-end closing activities, communicate with authorities and auditors, and provide expertise on tax and transfer pricing matters. This is an opportunity to work in a highly professional, international environment with exposure to complex tax regulations within the financial industry. You will: - Prepare and submit income tax and VAT returns in multiple countries - Review tax and VAT returns and ensure compliance with local regulations - Handle reporting of tax-related areas for Group financial statements and annual reporting - Prepare accounting entries for tax transactions and support monthly closings, including deferred tax - Communicate with tax authorities and external advisors across four countries - Support external audits and respond to tax-related inquiries - Execute tax and VAT payments to authorities - Perform VAT controls for incoming and outgoing invoices - Drive investigations related to VAT, transfer pricing, and specific tax matters Company Presentation You will find our client in the banking and finance sector, where they have operated for over 100 years.
