Interim Tax Accountant - 6 month contract

  • Own the preparation and submission of income tax and VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Review tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance at every step.
  • Drive tax reporting and contribute to the Annual Report.
  • Post and reconcile tax-related accounting entries as part of monthly close.
  • Calculate and book monthly income and deferred taxes with precision.
  • Be the go-to liaison with tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors across four countries.
  • Execute timely tax and VAT payments to authorities.
  • Implement robust VAT controls for all incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Lead investigations and resolve complex queries on tax, VAT, and transfer pricing.

Ideal Profile

  • Degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in tax and VAT—whether as an accountant, auditor, consultant, or in a major international group.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles and consolidated reporting standards, with the ability to interpret financial statements like a pro.
  • Deep knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect taxes, and transfer pricing—especially Swedish tax legislation.
