Professional Galaxy is looking for a Tax Accountant for one of our clients. Main deliverables: - Preparation and submission of Income Tax returns in 2 countries - Preparation and submission of VAT returns in 2 countries - Review of VAT and Income Tax returns in 2 countries - Responsible for reporting on tax-related areas to the SEB Group and in the Annual report - Preparation of accounting entries for tax-related transactions and payments - Perform monthly income and deferred tax calculations, bookings and reconciliations as a part monthly clos - Communication with tax authorities and /or external tax advisors in 4 countries - Communication with external auditors on tax-related matters - Execute Income tax and VAT payments to authorities - VAT-related controls for incoming and outgoing invoices - Driving specific tax, VAT and transfer pricing related questions and investigations Requirements: - Academic degree in relevant area such as Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a similar discipline. - Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Tax and VAT as an accountant, auditor, consultant, or related role in a large consulting firm or within a larger international group. Previous experience with a financial institution is a major advantage. Understanding of accounting principles and consolidated reporting standards and their integration with taxes, competence to ‘read’ and analyze financial statements of a financial institution - Knowledge of tax regulations such as corporate income tax, indirect taxes and transfer pricing with primary focus on Swedish tax legislation - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
