About the Role
1. Strategic Ownership: Develop and implement a 3-5 year assortment strategy, balancing carryovers and newness while ensuring market adaptability (B2B and B2C).
2. Budget Management: Set, manage, and optimize budgets for assortment, production, and material sourcing to ensure financial targets are met.
3. Product Development: Oversee the entire product development process, ensuring alignment with customer insights and market trends.
4. Assortment Mix: Lead the development of a balanced assortment mix that supports the brand's positioning and sales targets.
5. Material Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring and introducing new materials and techniques to expand the product offering beyond knitwear.
6. Customer Insights: Analyze return data, e-commerce performance, and retailer feedback to optimize future collections.
7. Visual Direction: Collaborate with the designer to manage moodboards and ensure the aesthetic direction aligns with brand and campaign strategies.
8. Production Optimization: Oversee production planning, timelines, and purchasing to optimize cost efficiency and on-time deliveries.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Brand, E-commerce, and Wholesale teams to align assortment strategies with overall business goals.
Profile
1. 7-10 years of experience in assortment strategy, product development, and production within fashion.
2. Proven ability to balance carryovers and newness to align with business goals (B2B and B2C).
3. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
4. A keen eye for design, materials, and craftsmanship to ensure brand aesthetics and quality.
5. Experience in global sourcing, supplier negotiations, and production optimization.
6. Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset, translating customer insights and market trends into strategy.
7. Experience in budget management, pricing strategy, and margin optimization.
8. Understanding of brand positioning, visual communication, and campaign alignment.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe programs, and PLM systems.
10. Fluent in English.
