Product Owner – ServiceNow

We are looking for a Product Owner with some technical knowledge regarding ServiceNow.

Product Owners have a key role in the success of product delivery in the Agile release train. They need to understand features, be responsible for creating and understanding backlog items and be able to scope, descope and make priority decisions. They bridge the gap between business and technology to create efficient solutions. They are responsible for maximizing overall value delivered by the agile team and they work together with their agile team to deliver their committed objectives for each PI and to ensure a working solution.

Responsibilities:
  1. Understand strategic initiatives, by closely working with Product Management, to help deliver products that help the Bank in achieving the desired objectives.
  2. Help to drive product development to build end-to-end solutions with a team of dedicated engineers and designers.
  3. Serve as a Product owner within an agile team or teams.
  4. Responsible for creating and understanding user stories and acceptance criteria.
  5. Own, maintain and prioritize the team backlog.
  6. Understand and provide input to the Product Roadmap.
  7. Hold the Product Vision and articulate it and the Product Roadmap to the agile team.
  8. Use rapid cycles to iterate and learn.
  9. Build trust and effective relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  10. Understand pain points and problems and address them in a timely fashion.
  11. Define and own the agile team's Backlog (scope, priorities) in JIRA.
  12. Contribute to the program scope by collaborating with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, agile teams, and other Product Owners.
  13. Manage team scope by collaborating with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, agile teams, and other Product Owners.
  14. Define the sprint goals and drive the sprint backlog creation with the team.
  15. Review and accept delivered stories.
  16. Co-define Definition of Done together with the agile team.
  17. Interact with 3rd parties regarding technical integrations and support of the same.
  18. Prioritize between bug fixes.
  19. Participate in agile ceremonies.
  20. Prepare for PI Planning from the team perspective.
  21. Keep track of progress for ongoing PI Planning, from a scope perspective.
Professional Skills/Experience:
  1. Strong technical leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including facilitation.
  3. Strong stakeholder management skills.
  4. 3 year PO/BA Experience.
  5. Experience in working with ServiceNow.
  6. Banking domain experience.
  7. 3-5 years experience as Product Owner or Product Manager within the financial services industry.
  8. Experience and knowledge of agile frameworks, preferably SAFe.
