Head of Operations Planning & Performance

Saab's business area Surveillance is looking for a driven and communicative Head of Operations Planning & Performance to lead our journey towards effective operations planning and control.

Your role

BA Surveillance is Saab's largest, and one of the two most rapidly growing, business areas. On this growth trajectory, effective operations planning and control is instrumental to guide business decisions, optimize capacity and drive operational efficiency.

The role will lead a group of continuous improvement, accountable to establish effective performance metrics and analytics, planning methodologies. In this role, you are expected to leverage data-driven insights and collaborate with all supply functions across Surveillance globally to ensure target alignment and operational efficiency. Overall delivery performance and cutting lead times are key enablers for our success. Your main tasks will include:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing operations planning team
  • Drive global Sales & Operations Planning, interconnecting the full extent of our planning ecosystem
  • Consolidate demand and lead supply planning to ensure appropriate action is taken for capacity and efficiency for our rapidly growing business
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and operations
  • Global owner for processes and tools within project management
  • Oversee global utilization and performance within Operations

The Head of Operations Planning & Performance reports directly to the Planning & Supply Chain Director within COO.

Primary location can be any of our major sites, preferably Stockholm or Göteborg.

Your profile

To fit in this role, you must be a highly motivated, skilled and communicative professional within supply chain planning. You are results-oriented, measuring your own success in the impact you make in identifying and resolving bottlenecks across the business operations. You have a proven track record as a manager and transformation leader in planning, expressing integrity in your position while being a true leader.

Required skills:

  • Extensive experience in operations planning and/or supply chain planning, including operations performance management
  • Have a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate your own team as well as stakeholders across operations
  • A passion for driving continuous improvement and optimizing complex systems
  • Proven track record of effectively leading transformations and implementing new ways of working for rapid impact
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience

Desired skills:

  • Experience from matrix organisations in an industrial context, with multiple product lines and a project-centric business execution model

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
