We are looking for a Head of Production Supply Chain to our new department in Production NCS Järfälla. Are you an experienced leader who wants to combine excellent leadership skills and strategic thinking in the focal point of hardware? This might be the position for you

Your role

Production Supply Chain is a new function within Production Naval Combat Systems (NCS) Järfälla, with the responsibility to increase efficiency in the supply chain from production planning to material available in storage. The goal is to secure that the Manufacturing executes on time with the right quality.

As Head of Production Supply Chain, you will lead a management team consisting of two sections; Production Planning and Inspection. Your focus will be to build strong and high performing teams and in close collaboration with Procurement drive efficiency in the supply chain to secure on time deliveries in production. You will also have an important role as part of NCS Production management team.

Together with your teams and stakeholders, you will be responsible for setting up a supply chain strategy aligned with our division's strategy and take appropriate measurements to ensure execution on by evaluating and acting on important KPI's.

Since this organisation will be a corner stone for an efficient Supply Chain, you will face a broad range of internal interfaces and stakeholders. Therefore, your daily work requires excellent communication skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translate Saab, Surveillance and NCS Production strategies into clear and well-communicated targets for your organisation
  • Leading according to Saab´s values
  • Full responsibility for results within your area, which includes safety and health, quality, delivery capacity, efficiency and line budget
  • Coach and develop competence in the team to take on more complex and demanding tasks
  • Empower your employees through value driven leadership
  • Develop efficient ways of working within your area, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvements
  • Accountable for short, medium and long-term production plans
Your profile

More specifically, we believe that you have:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Logistics Engineering or other adequate education or working experience
  • Leadership experience within relevant areas
  • Experience of logistics, production planning or similar
  • Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
  • Strong business understanding and customer focus
  • Experience from ERP-systems (such as IFS)
  • Excellent skills in spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Proven ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organisation, management teams and employees

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
