Your role

You will be responsible for the new Strategy function within Naval Combat Systems. As a member of the business unit management team you will address all levels ranging from strategic outlook through a tactical perspective all the way to strong operative decisions.

The main tasks are:

  • Drive the strategy process within Naval Combat Systems, including but not limited to: long term business planning, strategic workforce planning and plans for long term capability growth
  • Support in managing our product portfolio; assessing what areas to invest in and what to avoid
  • Support in business development activities, such as new business models, partnership discussions, mergers and acquisition work and site strategies

You will be working in cooperation with all parts of business unit Naval Combat Systems to establish and execute on the strategy for the BU. You will also work closely with the BA Surveillance Strategy function and relevant OpC and foreign entities as well as the corporate level.

We are looking for a person with a communicative and inclusive leadership style in order to create commitment and energy within the organisation.

Further, the successful candidate has a broad profile with at least the following attributes:

  • Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline
  • Experience in Strategic-, Roadmap- and Business development planning
  • Strong business and customer understanding
  • Understanding and ability to work in an international environment and matrix organisation
  • Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
  • Proven ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organisation, management teams and employees
  • Excellent language abilities where English is a minimum and other languages are a merit

You will be reporting to the Head of the Business Unit Naval Combat System and will be a part of our management team.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
