Would you like to join the biggest asset manager in the Nordics? We are currently searching for a Student to support our Money Laundering Reporting Officers in advising and ensuring compliance with regulations against money laundering and terrorism financing across various jurisdictions.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Anti-Money Laundering Team in Nordea Asset Management. We are seeking a student to be a part of our team. Do you aspire to contribute to the fight against financial crime? Do you aim to be involved in an AML/CFT competence hub in Asset Management? If so, this position could be perfect for you. We need a student to work from our Stockholm office alongside colleagues in the AML Function.

You will collaborate closely with the Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLRO) and aid them in their daily tasks to ensure our financial crime prevention framework is maintained.

What you'll be doing:

  • Help the MLROs in their daily operations, including follow-up and upkeep.
  • Support in reporting, mapping processing activities, record-keeping, updating action logs, risk registration, updating templates, and similar tasks.
  • Conduct research on AML/CFT related topics.
  • Aid in the administration of the internal AML/KYC tool.

This is a student role requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week, based in Stockholm.

  • Have an interest in preventing financial crimes.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a self-directed learning approach to acquire new skills.
  • Be detail-oriented, work methodically, and enjoy tackling complex problems.

Your experience and background:

  • Currently enrolled in university or business school.
  • Preferably studying fields such as law, finance, risk management, political science, statistics, information security, or other relevant subjects for the role.
  • Proficient in Excel, SharePoint, and quick to pick up technical skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds – educational, technical, and/or cultural.
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
