We are in search of a Geotechnical Engineering Manager for the Nordics to join Geobear's international team and oversee geotechnical engineering operations in Sweden and Finland with the aim of expanding the company's business. This role is open in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, or Tampere.

Geobear is a global ground engineering organization specializing in subsidence solutions and treatment for unstable ground. With over 40 years of experience, Geobear has successfully completed over 200,000 projects worldwide, making them a leading expert in geopolymer injections. Our solutions are fast, cost-effective, and innovative, offering stability to structures with minimal disruption.

In this diverse role, you will be involved in geotechnical design, structural planning, calculations, and modeling for challenging projects in the Nordics, particularly in Sweden and Finland. Your expertise will be crucial in the infrastructure and industrial sectors. As an Engineer Manager, you will also provide technical support for sales by preparing reports and offering insights. Additionally, you will contribute to development initiatives, such as establishing guidelines for Geobear's methods and project management.

To excel in this role, you should have extensive experience in foundation design, a passion for technical innovation, and excellent communication skills in Swedish and English. While based in Stockholm or Vantaa (Helsinki), you will operate in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (M.Sc./B.Sc)
  • Several years of experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly in infrastructure and industry
  • Knowledge of structural engineering
  • Experience in Infrastructure/Civil engineering projects
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Proficiency in geotechnical design calculations and software
  • Strong language skills in Swedish, Finnish, and English

Additional qualifications that are advantageous:

  • National certification in foundation design engineering
  • Proficiency in Plaxis program
  • Experience in engineering research & development

Reporting structure:

  • You will report to the MD Nordics and VP Engineering
  • You will collaborate closely with Engineering Managers from the UK, Poland, and China, as well as be part of the Nordic Management Team and Geobear Engineering Team.

This full-time permanent position comes with a six-month probation period and aims to be filled promptly. Candidates in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, or Tampere are encouraged to apply. The hybrid nature of the role allows for a balance between remote and office work, with a minimum of one day per week spent in the office in Stockholm or Helsinki.
