ECARX (Nasdaq: ECX) is a global mobility-tech company partnering with OEMs to reshape the automotive landscape as the industry transitions to an all-electric future. ECARX was founded in 2017 and has grown to almost 2,000 team members. The co-founders are two automotive entrepreneurs, Chairman and CEO Ziyu Shen, and Eric Li (Li Shufu), who is also the founder and chairman of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group - one of the largest automotive groups in the world, with ownership interests in international brand OEMs including Lotus, Lynk & Co, Polestar, smart and Volvo Cars.

Position Overview:

Step into an impactful leadership role as our SRE Tech Lead in Gothenburg, where you'll spearhead our efforts in building a resilient AWS cloud infrastructure for groundbreaking automotive technologies. Your Leadership Journey:

  • Build and nurture our Site Reliability Engineering team, creating a supportive environment where talent flourishes and innovative solutions thrive.
  • Lead by example, implementing strategies for a scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure, utilizing tools like CloudWatch and AWS Config for optimal performance.
  • Drive automation and orchestration projects, simplifying processes with AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and Lambda, and fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud applications and services are robust and fault-tolerant, embodying reliability at every step.
  • Anticipate system needs and scalability challenges, employing AWS solutions to maintain peak performance.
  • Guide incident management and learning processes, encouraging a team approach to problem-solving and innovation.
  • Empower team members through mentoring, promoting an environment where learning and personal growth are prioritized.
  • Stay abreast of AWS trends and advocate for the adoption of technologies that enhance our capabilities and drive forward our mission.

Who We're Seeking:

  • A leader with a bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, boasting at least 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Someone skilled in AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools, with a strong foundation in scripting and automation technologies.
  • A forward-thinker with a knack for networking, security, and distributed systems within AWS environments, and proficient in monitoring tools like CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
  • An exceptional communicator who values collaboration, diversity, and inclusivity, able to bridge teams and inspire stakeholders.
