Group Digital & IT – Infrastructure and OnSite Services is a global unit consisting of approximately 700 employees and consultants located in most of the Volvo Group's main locations. Our mission is to ensure that we provide Volvo with the right End-User tools and infrastructure related services at agreed quality and to an optimal cost.

Business Infrastructure Management is a global department in charge of demand management of IT Infrastructure & end user services for all TD/BA/GF within Volvo Group, which encompasses:

• All "end-user IT workplace" services (IT equipment, MyPlace clients, Telephony, IT helpdesk, Desktop applications, collaboration workplace including and Sharepoint Online, etc)

• As well as common and shared IT services such as Network (Wired ethernet network, WiFi, fiber, and other specialized connect services), Printing and Identity management services (User Accounts)

The role of the business infrastructure manager is to manage relations with our clients as well as being of top our service offering provided to Volvo Group Head Quarters

Our main tasks are built on capturing business needs and translate them into deliverable and when needed development of new services. We do also act as the promoting body of our already developed services to maximize ROI of the products and services we already have on the shelf. In addition we are also responsible for budgets connected the delivery of our offering.

It is also vital to have an open mind coming to communication with all levels within the customer organization to accomplish their business needs.

In this role, you will be part of a functional team of 6 business infrastructure managers working for a big variety of our Volvo Group TD/BA/GF's.

Role mission & context
The mission is to make sure the offer, the delivery and usage of IT services enable Volvo Group HQ to meet its business goals and deliverables. You are responsible to fulfill this mission over your assigned service portfolio and/or geographical scope.
You operate in a global context, having several interfaces to other functions such as the different entities within IOS enabling our services, Agile Software Development Teams, our partner HCL, other IT stakeholders within Volvo Group, as well as with a relevant network of client business stakeholders within your scope.

Key Responsibilities
Capture business needs in terms of new IT services and address them within Group Digital & IT strategies, service development and deployment roadmaps / projects

• Plan, prioritize and process customer requests for existing IT services until final delivery together with our internal decision bodies

• Manage relationship & dialog with relevant Business- and Group Digital & IT stakeholders for Infrastructure & IT services

• Coordinate site IT contacts community & related operations regionally for a consistent user experience at main client sites within your regional scope

• Drive deployment and efficient adoption of new IT services within your scope

• Drive efficient usage of existing IT services within your scope and compliance with applicable guidelines and policies

• As a member of the Business Infrastructure Management, contribute to the Infrastructure Portfolios Service Strategy and Design work done by the Service Management Team

Authority

• Challenge and authorize demands and requests

• Decide what demands and requests coming from your scope that must be prioritized to meet Service deployment and IT equipment budget frames

• Influence and Initiate service deployment initiatives for your scope, within the strict budget frames allocated by IOS

As a Business Infrastructure Manager, you will create an efficient and trustful day-to-day operation. You have proven experience as a leader and excel in behaving according to the Volvo Group values.

Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment.

You are also expected to have a strong business mindset and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your unit, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.
Business uptime and seamless service usage is of critical importance and requires a very adaptive, flexible mindset and problem-solving abilities.
To succeed in the role, you do also have to be service minded, act as the Single Point of Contact for your area of responsibility creating a seamless interface for the client allowing them to focus on their key chores.

Required Competencies

• Relevant degree of education

• Strong experience in IT infrastructure design and/or delivery and/or support

• Good insight in both legacy- as well as future network architectures

• Business oriented, ability to manage interactions with business stakeholders

• Significant project management culture

• Experience in defining requirements and building business cases

• Excellent prioritization skills and ability to eliminate roadblocks

• Able to learn of the fly when facing new problems

• Leadership experience (project, functional or line manager)

• Excellent communication- & presentation skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Complete proficiency in English

• "Advanced user" or architect knowledge about one or several of the IT Services is a plus
