In Core Business Range (Range) we design and develop all IKEA products that furnish hundreds of millions of homes around the globe and contribute to a better everyday life for the many people. In Range we develop the best possible products at lowest possible cost, provide a complete and coordinated offer and manage the home furnishing businesses and through the product range, we connect and optimize the whole value chain.

The Communication function in Range has the assignment to lead, develop and enable impactful communication that strengthens the IKEA brand by creating engagement, building trust for IKEA and enabling better business.

We are looking for a Communication Leader for the IKEA Growth Plan

As Communication Leader in Range, you are a key contributor to moving our most important strategic and business questions through the power of communication. In this role, you are strategic communication leader and partner that leads, develops, implements, and enables business-driven communication both internally and externally. You contribute to both the creation and implementation of business strategies, priorities, and processes through communication.

The IKEA Growth plan is hosted by Range to deliver the common and committed priorities, content and solutions that will meet the consumers during a given year, to drive IKEA's growth and positioning.

We are looking for a Communication Leader that is part of creating the IKEA Growth plan and communicating it in major communication points during the year, such as Growth Plan Focus Weeks. Part of the specific assignment is to

  • establish awareness and understanding of the IKEA Growth Plan​ across the IKEA network
  • contribute to amplifying the yearly extraordinary focus through a holistic perspective of communication, covering all stakeholders and target groups internally and externally
  • enable understanding and implementation of the IKEA Growth Plan deliverables​
  • establish alignment and commitment to IKEA Growth Plan decisions​​
  • in daily work, lead several communication colleagues connected to the IKEA Growth Plan assignment (managerial responsibility for these co-workers sits with Communication Manager)

You will also be a key contributor to the common communication direction and plan for Inter IKEA as well as representing communication perspectives in different contexts.

You will report to the Communication Manager in Range and work very closely with the IKEA Growth plan team and across the IKEA network.

The Communication Leader:

  • is an experienced leader with proven communication competence and cross-functional understanding of the IKEA strategic landscape, network and value chain.
  • has deep understanding of the core of the Range assignment, as well as business and communication needs
  • is very curious and solution-oriented, with ability to create engagement and build trustful relationships with various stakeholders, a strong networker and collaborator.
  • is a self-starter, action-oriented and capable of navigating and leading questions forward in a complex and fast paced environment, and positively influence ideas that will grow IKEA.
  • enjoys working at a fast pace in an optimistic and future-oriented, continuously developing organization, having a strong ability to adapt to change and navigate complexities. You have a large capacity and ability to move between strategic, tactical and operational tasks and contexts.
  • is a very strong and creative communicator with the ability to move business questions and create impact through communication, simplify complexities and represent IKEA in all dimensions. You have a deep connection to what is typically IKEA.
