As a Leader in Business Development, your role involves ensuring the achievement of business objectives set forth in designated development and transformation initiatives according to IKEA strategies. You will take on the responsibility of leading a key cross-organizational development initiative where IKEA seeks to revolutionize its operations along the entire value chain. To accomplish this, you will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to attain defined objectives and key results.

As a Business Development Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Guiding strategically prioritized business development projects with a comprehensive end-to-end approach, aligning the expected benefits with the vision, business concept, direction, and strategies of IKEA.
  • Involving pertinent stakeholders in defining objectives, key results, business advantages, and risks for specific business development endeavors through data-driven analysis.
  • Clarifying the scope and framework of projects while ensuring alignment, commitment, common direction, and buy-in from all relevant stakeholders and decision-making bodies throughout the value chain.
  • Collaborating closely with Capability areas to ensure the necessary skill development is carried out to support project objectives.
  • Monitoring progress and managing interdependencies among development projects to optimize value creation over time, working in tandem with Roadmap and Planning leaders.
  • Ensuring organizational readiness in terms of business ownership and change management to deliver short-term value and long-term goals effectively.

  • Proficiency in Project and Change management.
  • Identifying and seizing business opportunities, delivering results promptly and effectively.
  • Acting as a representative of IKEA values and embodying a data-driven approach to business leadership.
