EIT InnoEnergy is the driving force behind three strategic European initiatives which include the European Battery Alliance (EBA), the European Green Hydrogen Acceleration Centre (EGHAC) and the European Solar Photovoltaic Industry Alliance.

EIT InnoEnergy was established in 2010 and is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an independent EU body set up in 2008 to drive innovation and entrepreneurship across Europe. Since its inception, EIT InnoEnergy has screened more than 7,000 start-ups, launched more than 300 products to market and overseen its portfolio companies filing 290+ patents. Today, EIT InnoEnergy has a 200+ strong team with offices across Europe and in Boston, US.

The Role

This a true entrepreneurship and leadership role in a very international setting. One should realise it is about working in a fast-developing environment. It is about developing, together with the Executive Board, the strategy of InnoEnergy and implementing and executing the yearly Business plan for Scandinavia (there is only one Business Plan for the company, which is not the aggregation of the business plans of each country) and other business areas which could be mandated, on annual basis, to the CEO of Scandinavia.

It is very important to contribute and cooperate on daily basis with other European InnoEnergy colleagues towards the implementation of the strategy and annual Business Plan.

Evolve, together with the Executive Board, the strategy of KIC InnoEnergy, and implement it. You will be a member of a 1B$+ market cap company, with everything it implies. Elaborate, together with the Executive Board, the yearly Business Plans that implement the strategy in the coming year Implement and execute the company yearly business plan at Co-Location centre (CC) Scandinavia level, and contribute to the implementation of that Business Plan in the other CCs. Deliver the objectives set in the yearly business plan Create, foster and animate the ecosystem in the CC and across CCs Valorize the outputs generated when implementing the business plan Drive for excellent innovation in the constituencies contributing to the mission Represent the company in all needed institutional local fora (EU, partners, Member State Public Bodies related to KIC InnoEnergy) Develop the required links with the key stakeholders related to the Energy sector in Scandinavia (industry, aministration, investors, innovation community, .)

The Person

The candidate needs to have most of the competences and skills described below, in a high level:

Proven experience as a business leader with minimum 15 years experience in (top) management executive business positions, managing interdisciplinary functions Track record in innovation, creating and growing business Proven experience in successful interaction with Scandinavian public authorities. With EU ones would be a plus. Sound understanding of the energy sector and its challenges Sound understanding of customer orientation and market driven innovation Proven track record of creativity in thinking beyond status quo. Be primarily result oriented and not knowledge or process oriented. Experience with multinational working environments Experience and demonstrated ability to work in matrix organizations Proficient in English, fluency in another European language is an asset. Comfortable in managing ecosystems with various stakeholders, from startups to industry, RTOs to universities and public actors.

Location and travel:

Location is Stockholm. This position involves frequent travel in Scandinavia and in Europe.
