Profoto continues to grow, and we are now looking for an R&D Project Manager to lead our Light Shaping projects to our headquarters in Sundbyberg.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a well-organized and communicative person who can lead one of our LST (light shaping tool) project team and who wants to grow together with us. The project teams will have people from various disciplines working together to innovate and deliver world class LST-products.

Key responsibilities
  • You will lead LST (light shaping tool) product development projects all the way from product idea to volume manufacturing.
  • Besides leading the Profoto internal LST-team (including mechanics, purchasing and verification), this normally includes working with and leading a design partner and production partner (ODM projects).
  • Occasional travel within Sweden or to European and Asian to visit design and manufacturing partners will be a part of your job.
  • Your work is truly cross functional and requires interacting and networking on all levels both within and outside Profoto.
  • You lead the plan, follow-up and report progress for project scope, schedule, resources, budget, and risks.
  • You will be an important player contributing to our continuous improvements in how to work in our projects and development processes.
Requirements

In order to be successful in this role, we expect that you have:

  • Experience in leading product development projects, preferably including mechanics and industrial design.
  • Experience in leading ODM projects or other outsourced projects.
  • Relevant Master of Science degree or equivalent
  • Preferably knowledge in photography and light shaping
  • Preferably experience or knowledge about fabric products
  • Swedish & English, written and spoken
  • Project Management and product development methodologies
  • Knowledge of product manufacturing and quality management
  • Ability to understand product system dependencies
  • Proven skills for stakeholder management, both on management level and operative level
  • Strong desire for driving and embracing change
  • Action oriented worth a strong sense of urgency
  • Swedish work permit is a requirement

You will be a member of our Project Management team and part of our R&D organization of 50 professional experts all based at our headquarters. To be a great fit to our team you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with high achieving coworkers. As a person you are structured, systematic, and socially skilled and you like to work in team and cooperate with other people. You have extensive experience working with product development projects and you have the capability to lead and motivate your project team into the right direction in hence of time, cost and quality.
